Abilities

Kurt was athletic and fair with a blade as a basic human. Remade, he's been given amber cat's eyes for improved night vision, and one arm has been replaced with a three-pronged robotic aparatus with increased strength. (They wanted to do both but didn't have anything that would preserve fine motor skills, and one does have to get a little fiddly in construction and repair.) The mechanical arm attatches to a metal spine, which has been elongated, forming a pneumatic tail with a pronged spade at the end to act as a hook or grapple. By clamping his arm onto something strong enough and extending his tail, Kurt can haul an impressive weight up to himself.

One power Kurt does not have is re-winding the khepri clockwork that replaced his heart. There is a keyhole embedded in his chest for this purpose, but his keepers hold the key. This ensures good behavior on Kurt's part, as he can only go so many thousands of ticks before the mechanism runs down. (Two days at most.)

Appearance

His eyes have gone strange and yellow like the moon. His chest is hollow and its rattling keeps him up at night. The clamping arm and grappling spine they gave him are cold and heavy, clanking and needing constant oil, which gets in his blood picks out every blue vein under his skin. He was stripped of everything when they grafted him into his new life, except two small ivory triangles set in the upper curl of each ear, giving them a pointed look.

Official Record

One of the Rom, wandering, lordless people from across the plains, the subject came to Drumlin two years ago with another man, understood to be his brother. They were apprehended by the Militia breaking into the Glass House for purposes unknown. During the incident, the subject snapped his brother's neck and was sentenced to Remaking and serving the city in construction, specifically to repair and continue to maintain the Glass House.

Foreman's Review: Szardos is a good worker, doesn't have a lot of that laziness most of the Remade thugs get. We just don't got enough for him to do. Doesn't mind being contracted out, and we've had a few offers from independent businessmen who'd like to purchase him permanently.
